Cute story

We were in Sam's today and there was a little girl shopping with her mom and she was riding in the shopping cart. She was probably 2 or 3 years old. She saw Josh in his infant sit in my shopping cart. She looked at him and said "Mom, look at that baby!". Her mom looked and said "Yea, he's cute, isn't he?" Then, she said "I want a baby just like that one!" It was so cute!

More pictures

These were taken about two weeks ago on August 4th, so he was just over 3 months old. The outfit that he's wearing was a gift from Aunt Pat.

Pictures from this weekend

This picture was taken while Josh was lying on his tummy in his crib. I set the camera down on the mattress and pushed the button. Pretty good result, huh?

This weekend Josh and I went for lunch with friends on Friday and Saturday. Friday, we went to Mi Cocina with Courtney and Angie near Lennox. Saturday, Josh stayed with his Mimi and Tutor while I got a pedicure from Carla. Then, we went to Third Saturday lunch at Hunan Dynasty. It was a lot of fun - Karen brought Ben and Jeanne, Mac, Carley, Franny, and Teresa were there.

Josh wore his Cowboy jersey for the pre-season game on Saturday. We went outside to take pictures. He can sit up pretty good in his Bumbo now. If the jersey looks a little big, that's because it is. It's a size 3T, which is the smallest size that they had when I bought it. But, it's so cute that I couldn't resist putting it on him!

He didn't have much luck staying awake for the game. Oh well!

The quilt that Josh is laying on was handmade by Gramme for our family. Josh is the first to use it, in his crib in the living room.

Frustration

Today, Josh was playing in his jumperoo, when I noticed that he seemed to be getting frustrated with the toys. He had this really intense look on his face like the toys weren't cooperating or they wouldn't do what he wanted them to do. I'm not sure if he was trying to figure out what they were supposed to do or if he was just getting tired and cranky. But just look at the expressions on his face...

P.S. Don't worry - I didn't let him sit there and be upset for long. I picked him up right after I finished taking these pictures!

I love this picture...

We were sitting on the couch today and you were in Daddy's lap. I was only sitting a few feet away, but you turned your head and looked right at me. It was like you were checking to make sure that I was still there or that you were wondering what I was doing. I got the feeling that you were looking for me and when you saw me, you were happy to see that I was right there. Such a neat feeling of connecting with you.

Baby quilt for Josh

I finally finished the baby quilt that I've been working on for Josh. Here are a few pictures - mostly because Aunt Millie wanted to see the finished quilt. She helped me work on the quilt top when she came to meet Josh for the first time in May.

Josh & Daddy

These pictures were taken on the back porch today. The cute green outfit is from Aunt Shelly. Isn't the visor just the cutest?

New pictures!

Josh in his bouncy seat with his new teddy bear. We got the teddy bear at Target yesterday to entertain Josh and and try to keep him awake while we waited an hour and 15 minutes to have his picture taken. It worked! He stayed awake just long enough to get his picture taken and then he crashed on the way home.

Josh enjoying "tummy time" on the new baby quilt that Mommy made him!

Mimi cut Josh's fingernails when she came to visit on Friday.
