Jackson's 1st Birthday Party!

I got my first tooth!

Josh cut his first tooth today in Monroe at Aunt Millie's! He was gnawing on Mommy's hand and something felt sharp! Sure enough, his bottom, right tooth had pushed it's way through! (I know you can't really see the tooth clearly in this picture, but this picture was taken right when I figured out that he had a tooth. I'm sure that there will be many more, better tooth pictures to come!)

First time to...

roll over in bed!! Despite the current recommendation to put babies to sleep on their backs, Josh has pretty much always slept on his stomach. I guess you could say he just had other ideas. And unfortunately, when we put him down on his back, he wouldn't sleep much longer than about 5 minutes. So, this morning, when I went to get him out of his crib, he was laying on his BACK, smiling up at me! He had rolled from his stomach to his back before I came into the room. I was so excited and happy to see his little smiling face looking up at me!

Does this make me a bad mommy?!

So, I took my chances and woke Josh up to see if I could get a picture or two on his actual 5 month birthday. (After all, I haven't missed one yet!) The outfit of choice? Whatever he happened to have on at the moment. Not the most productive photo session yet, but I did like these two!

Josh had a tough day today - he was a fussy baby. Unless he wakes up again, I didn't get to take his 5 month picture on the red chair. Guess we'll have to go for 5 months and 1 day tomorrow!
